It was the name of my favourite subject in this semestre. It was interesting but a bit abstract as well, so it wasn’t an easy challenge to understand the whole topic in details. But more or less I managed to do it…
Here are two nice image from my note. And three images from my homework, simulated in MatLAB. I don’t know why, but I think it looks better with negative colours…
- complex function in 3D
- waterfall diagram
- movement of object (space)
- own frequencies
- movement of object (time)
Actually I’m very busy with my homework of Finite Element Method (FEM). We have to create a modell of a tank. (no, not the vehicle..
ANSYS is not the easiest software I’ve ever met with, so I have a lot of problems with solving it.
But at least sometimes the result of this analysis is beautiful.
Now back to work.
Bye

After a very long time, I have restarted drawing. This is my concept about my first drawing. Maybe it’ll be changed later. I don’t know yet. I wanted to make a quick sketch, with only few lines. Not a “masterpiece”…
I’m very busy with my university, so I don’t know when will I finish it, but I don’t have any kind of deadline. I’m doing it just for fun and for relaxing.
Yesterday I wrote a test about “Numeric Fluid Mechanics”. We had to create a modell of a cylinder, and flowing air.
The air is coming from the right side of the pictures.
Red colour means great pressure, velocity, etc.
I think these pictures are beautiful themself, and it doesn’t matter, whether you know the physical background of it or not…

János Pilinszky: The Straight Labyrinth
(Egyenes labirintus)
What will it be like, this return flight
that only similes can describe,
like sanctuary, altar,
homecoming, handshake, hug,
under the trees, garden feast,
where there is no first and last guest,
what will it be like in the end,
this free-fall on open wings,
this flight into the fiery
focus, the communal nest? – I don’t know,
and yet, if there is something I know,
I know this blazing corridor,
this labyrinth straight as an arrow,
the heavier and heavier,
exhilarating fact of our fall.

Hungarian (original) version:
Milyen lesz az a visszaröpülés,
amiről csak hasonlatok beszélnek,
olyanfélék, hogy oltár, szentély,
kézfogás, visszatérés, ölelés,
fűben, fák alatt megterített asztal,
hol nincs első és nincs utolsó vendég,
végül is milyen lesz, milyen lesz
e nyitott szárnyú emelkedő zuhanás,
visszahullás a fókusz lángoló
közös fészkébe? – nem tudom,
és mégis, hogyha valamit tudok,
hát ezt tudom, e forró folyosót,
e nyílegyenes labirintust, melyben
mind tömöttebb és mind tömöttebb
és egyre szabadabb a tény, hogy röpülünk.
Tomorrow I’ll write a test of “Differential equations and numerical methods”. One of the most important part of this topic is the plotting of Phase portrait. With it you can see wheter a mechanical (or any other kind of) system is stabile, unstable, or asymptotic stabile.
A few images, without long and boring mathematical description…
Welcome to my blog.
I’m a 22-year old boy from Hungary. Actually I study at the Technical University of Budapest, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. I’ve created this blog so as to put my drawings, paintings on it. I haven’t been drawing or painting for more than 2 years, but now I’ve decided to restart creating some art. I don’t know how often and when I can make new images, but at least I have a virtual gallery now, where I can show them.
Why I picked up “Nonest” as a nickname?
My nick is “Non est volentis”, or shortly “Nonest”. That comes from the following Latin sentence:
“Non est volentis, neque currentis, sed miserentis Dei.”
“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.” /St. Paul/
I think this sentence is about one of the most interesting philosophical problems: does free will really exist, or everything, every minute of our lives are determined by our genetics, by our societies, by ads, by our families and childhood, and so on…
On the other hand, it is an important sentence of my favourite book, “School at the frontier”. It is perphaps the best Hungarian novel of the 20th century, and was written by Geza Ottlik.
I hope you’ll find my blog interesting…
Bye
